Title - Bilingual Customer Account Associate/ Collection Agent
Location - Markham, ON
Pay Rate - $27.00 (+$1.50 premium for French)
Note - The hours are from 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Late shift are from 11:45 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
** Must be able to work between the hours of 8:00 am to 8:00 pm**
We are currently hiring for an exciting contract role as a Customer Accounts Associate, reporting to the Supervisor of Collections. This role will reside in our Markham Head Office.
What you will be doing:
· Identify potential losses early and acts on them with a sense of urgency, while controlling repossessions
· Negotiate total losses
· Follow up on escalated and cancelled insurance accounts
· Recommend to Supervisor, the repossession for delinquent accounts when all methods for collection have been exhausted to minimize loss ratios and repossessions to meet objectives.
· Handle repossession disposal when appropriate maintaining delinquent accounts as per delinquency objectives
· Prepare and send all necessary paperwork and legal documentation to customer.
· Respond to customer requests with a Customer First approach
· Complete other departmental duties as required
Maintain customer contact notes in the Host system in accordance with company standards

Bilingual – written and oral fluency in English and French

University Degree or College diploma, preferably in a business-related field
