Job Duties Job Duties 1. Provide instruction in nutrition classes to students enrolled in post secondary programs.
2. Practice good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
3. Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
4. Utilize LMS for in person, online, and blended course delivery.
5. Manage the classroom and activities to ensure an optimal learning environment using an outcome-based approach.
6. Respond to and accommodate the special learning needs of students, including equity groups and diverse learners.
7. Use appropriate evaluation methods, record student progress, and provide feedback.
8. Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.
9. Follow academic regulations and policies adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
10. Work cooperatively with program heads and colleagues in an interdependent “team” environment.
11. Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
12. Attend staff, program, and school meetings. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) 1. A Bachelor’s degree in nutrition.
2. Two years recent/relevant business or industry experience or post-secondary teaching experience.
3. Effective communication skills (written and oral).
4. Effective interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
5. Effective instructional skills.
6. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
7. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
8. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
