The City of Delta is looking for qualified Building Service Workers to fill in auxiliary roles at facilities in North Delta, Ladner and Tsawwassen.
Responsibilities- Vacuum, sweep, wash, wax and polish floors and related areas
- Wash and clean windows, doors, shelves, walls, and surfaces
- Wash hand basins, sinks and toilets and replenish washroom supplies
- Collect and dispose of refuse and recycling
- Ensure building security, answer inquiries and provide routing information and assistance to the public as required.
- Building Service Worker Certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence for the Province of British Columbia
- Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial work
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with internal and external contacts
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
The City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $27.04 per hour (2024 rates) + 12% in lieu of vacation, public holidays and benefits. Interested applicants are requested to apply by April 26, 2026.
